Students are the future leaders of a
country. They can contribute greatly to the development of the country through
social service. Basically, students and social service are interrelated. Social
service makes them philanthropic, responsible and compassionate. It begets a
sense of civic responsibility among the students. However, students can work in
different sectors of society. They can educate the uneducated in the society.
They can work as volunteers in local clinics and create health awareness among
people in society. They can play a vital role in protecting the environment.
They can keep the environment clean. They can feed the neglected people of the
society. They can establish social justice and bring equality to society.
Besides, students can participate in the peaceful work of the society. They can
help people in the society with food and drink during natural calamities. In a
word, students can work their whole lives in the establishment of human rights.
And, these activities of the students inculcate a sense of social
responsibility among them and promise to build a fair, just and corruption-free
society. Finally, students and social service are inextricably linked to the
development of a society and a country. So, we cannot think of one without the other.
