Importance of Tables of Contents

Tables of Contents are a valuable coordination tool to ensure the text includes everything required. The first step for writing the text is to create the table of contents listing the expected sections from every design discipline on the project team. The contents usually includes the titles or descriptions of the first-level headers, such as chapter titles in longer works, and often includes second-level or section titles within the chapters as well, and occasionally even third-level titles . The depth of detail in tables of contents depends on the length of the work, with longer works having less. Formal reports also have a table of contents. Within an English-language book, the table of contents usually appears after the title page, copyright notices, and, in technical journals, the abstract; and before any lists of tables or figures, the foreword, and the preface. Printed tables of contents indicate page numbers where each part starts, while digital ones offer links to go to each part. The format and location of the page numbers is a matter of style for the publisher. If the page numbers appear after the heading text, they might be preceded by characters called leaders, usually dots or periods, that run from the chapter or section titles on the opposite side of the page, or the page numbers might remain closer to the titles. In some cases, the page number appears before the text. The table of contents shows what Subjects are there in a book, journal, magazine or in a research paper. So what is included in a book is shown in its table of contents. The table also shows a reader what the topics are, who the writers are, and which page a reader should open to read a particular topic. Sometimes in some books, topics are organized first in units and then in lessons. However, some books only show the chapters .In some cases, tables of contents contains a high quality description of the chapter’s but usually first-level header’s section content rather than subheadings. Matter preceding the table of contents is generally not listed there. However, all pages except the outside cover are counted, and the table of contents is often numbered with a lowercase Roman numeral page number. Many popular word processors, such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, and Star Writer are capable of automatically generating a table of contents if the author of the text uses specific styles for chapter titles, headings, subheadings, etc. So tables of contents are much important to get desired topics quickly.

The Art of Making Friends

The process of making a friend is a very unique one. It depends on the person. Generally, everyone is trying to become friend with others. Making friendship depends on one’s gender and age but most importantly it depends on one’s personality. Naturally, every individual is different and how they make friends differs just as greatly. The way I make friends depends heavily on my personality. As an introverted person, I tend to first meet with possible friends through what I call forced association. After the initial meeting, I calculate them and determine whether or not I think they should be my friend. Bonding, specifically male bonding follows and acceptance is the final stage. Before I can investigate into the sometimes mysterious process of becoming friends with someone, I have to tell some personal information. I am a great believer in personality typing: the theory that a great majority of people fall into one personality type or another. It is to say that I am very introverted. This does not mean I am anti-social, it merely means that new and non-routine communication with others duties my energy. The process of making a new friend may be different from others.

Non-Governmental Organization(NGO)

A NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) is principally independent from government, which is organized on a local, national or international level to address issues in support of the public good. It also encourages civil society to participate in the community level. Again, some NGOs are organized around specific issues, such as human rights. Numerous local, regional and international NGOs have played an essential role in national rule of law change processes and at the global and international level. Some conduct research and analysis in the legal and other fields (e.g. sociology, economics) relevant to the rule of law. In many cases, they produce reports with policy recommendations. Besides, NGOs often serve and help to monitor the international agreements. Again, in the rule of law field most non-governmental organizations are engaged in some form of direct assistance or services, including advising on law-making and other forms of technical assistance and manage rule of law projects. The number of national and local NGOs worldwide that engage in such rule of law activities is vast. In fact, they play an important role for the common people and the nation.

Shopping at near by Bazar

Shopping is something which is loved by all of us. It is said that many people find shopping relaxing. The shopping Mall Department Store is a favorite place. We always go to the Mall Department store in the morning by walking. Actually Shopping is an activity in which a customer browses the available goods or services presented by one or more retailers with the intent to purchase a suitable selection of them. The shopping experience can range from delightful to terrible, based on a variety of factors including how the customer is treated, convenience, and mood. But my experience is always pleasant. These shops stand by the sides of the road. These shops are good in structure. The shops are opened generally at 8 A.M. and are closed at 10 P.M. There were large crowds of people at the shops. There were motor cars, rickshaws, scooters and taxies. The buses, too, were plying up and own the bazaar. We kept to the foot-path. Soon we were at the Fountain. We moved on. There were shops dealing in all sorts of goods. There were the cloth merchants, chemists, jewelers, confectioners1, tobacconists, leather goods merchants, wine merchants, gramophone dealers, radio shops and shops dealing in general merchandise. The show cases exhibited the goods in style to tempt us. We had now gone round the whole shopping-centre. We, therefore, turned round. On the way back we went into the lane specializing in friend foods. There we had some steaming-hot parathas stuffed with potatoes. They were, indeed, very tasty and my friend relished them. Now we were in the centre of the bazaar. My friend entered a shop dealing in suitcases and bags and he purchased a nice looking handy brief-case to keep papers. Then we went back to the Red Fort end of the bazaar. It was evening by now. The whole bazaar looked bright like day. The showcases we had seen before looked all the more bright due to the dazzling lights. The whole place seemed transformed. We saw young boys and girls, smartly dressed strolling about. They seemed to be strangers because they were amazed at what they saw. My friend has a mind to go round the bazaar again but I felt tired. So I persuaded him to return. We now hired a taxi and came back home.
